Description
Agua Azul means “Blue Water.” This waterfall complex is a natural area protected by the
Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. Also, the same community of Agua Azul takes
care of the National Park. You can enjoy yourself and swim in the majestic blue waters at Agua
Azul.
The turquoise waters can be visited as part of a tour from and to Palenque. It consists of a
series of waterfalls, known for its mineral-rich content responsible for its blue hues and the
rocky limestone formations.
The river at Agua Azul descends, creating a series of beautiful waterfalls that run across the
multi-layered pools naturally formed by the water pressure. Its waters flow from the Xantil
River in Chiapas.
